Shortest Route: |
Drive north on 101
through Santa Rosa and take the River Road/Mark West/Calistoga exit to
the right, heading east on Mark West Road. |
Mark West Road becomes Porter
Creek Highway after about 5 miles. Continue for another 5 miles until the
road ends at a flashing red light. Go left at this intersection, onto Petrified
Forest Road, following signs for Calistoga. After about 5 miles, Petrified
Forest Road ends.Turn left onto Foothill Blvd. for 8/10ths of a mile, and then
right at Tubbs Lane. After 1.3 miles Tubbs Lane comes to an end.Turn left (up the mountain) on Hwy. 29,
toward Middletown. |
Approximately 15 miles beyond
the intersection of Tubbs Lane and Hwy. 29, you will pass Rancheria Road
and the Twin Pine casino on the left. The next intersection is marked "Dry
Creek Cutoff." |
Turn left at this intersection,
and immediately bear left onto Sheveland Road (Dry Creek Cutoff goes to
the right). Four Springs is at the end of Sheveland Road, 1 mile from the
highway. |
From the East Bay |

Take I-80 east past Vallejo to Hwy
37 (says "To Napa"). Drive about 2 miles to Hwy 29 and turn right.
Take 29 North through Calistoga toward Middletown. Approximately 16 miles north of Calistoga on 29, you will pass Rancheria
Road and the Twin Pine casino. The
next intersection is marked "Dry Creek Cutoff." |

Turn left at this intersection, and immediately
bear left onto Sheveland Road (Dry Creek Cutoff goes to the right). Four
Springs is at the end of Sheveland Road, 1 mile from the highway. |
Anyone coming from the Bay Area has the option of
taking the Silverado Trail by getting off 29 around Napa
and taking Trancas through town to Silverado. Worth the
effort, it has some great valley views.

From Sacramento: |

Drive North on I-5 to Williams. Take
Hwy 20 West to Hwy 53 (left turn); follow 53 South to 29 South to Middletown. From Middletown, continue on 29 South to Dry Creek Cutoff, about
1 mile from Middletown. Make a right turn from the highway, and bear left
onto Sheveland Road. |
