Four Springs Phoenix Fund
The loss of the historic lodge at Four Springs was heartbreaking. This much-loved home was nearly 90 years old, and had been remodeled several times to support seminars and retreats.
After careful planning and many conversations with friends of Four Springs, designers and contractors, we have built a lodge we hope will serve guests and programs even better than before.
The new building is slightly reoriented to take better advantage of the site and views. All living spaces will be on one level to facilitate access.
The kitchen is at the end of the building next to the olive tree patio, convenient for dining indoors and out.
The living and dining areas are in one large and beautiful space that can be easily rearranged for movement, art and music.
The insurance company delayed settlement for nearly two years, resulting in less money for construction. We have begun construction with the kitchen, gathering space and the shell of two bedrooms.
We will finish the first two bedrooms and build the remaining four of the six planned bedrooms after we are back business and earning revenue once again from seminars and retreats.
We have also prepared for construction of a balcony on the gathering space and to finish the fireplace with stone masonry at a later date as funds are raised.
We welcome your gift to the Four Springs Phoenix Fund to complete the lodge. All gifts are tax-deductible.
